GURU-HIS IMPORTANCE IN OUR LIFE

Blessed are the ones who have a Guru in their lives(like us,though it is a different thing we know that He is GOD).It is so because when we complain and crib about the path that we are walking on called "LIFE",when we squeak about those tiny little botherations and complain Him you are never there with me in my misery. It is then when He asks you to look back on the sands of time and points out to one pair of footstep and says those are my footsteps and i have lifted you up in my arms so that your turmoils be less...It is then when we get "enlightened" that he is there with us 24*7

""गुरुर ब्रह्म गुरुर विष्णु गुरुर देवो महेश्वर

गुरुर साक्षात् परम ब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरुवे नमः ""

A beautiful shloka meaning a Guru has the sublime blend of this three energies due to which the universe exists today.Brahma-the creator,Vishnu-the moderator,Maheshwara-the transformer.A Guru is a person who has a unique blend of the extremes. He is that epitome of knowledge but at the same time humor..the best blend of wisdom and chivalry..

""अखान्दमंदालाकाराम, व्याप्तं एन चराचरम

तत्पदं दर्शितं एन तस्मै श्री गुरुवे नमः ""

A Guru is omnipresent..he is present everywhere.he is present in us mortals and the immortals. He is there in time and timelessness..His prescence is felt in the soul and even outside..he is not present only in this world bt also in the other worlds..As Dinesh Bhaiya says become aware of the invisible divine "GURUSHAKTI"The entire World lies in the GURU'S feet...
The word Guru begins with a "G" and ends with a "U".I feel that is so because He is someone who "G"ives everything He can to "U".He does this because "U" "R" the ones who matter to Him.I feel this is why "GURU" it is spelt the way it is.The relationship between a mother and her child is the purest. It is so because there are no expectations in it.Similarly, and i feel even better it is with a Disciple and His Master, His Guru. The disciple seeks from His Master without any expectation. When he arrives to Him he stops seeking but now the things start blossoming as it is rightly said. His qualities ,his abilities blossom. He grows as a human. He matures. He understands.Such an indispensible part is played by the GURU in our lives...
And of course a hearty bow to our sweetest teachers Virat Bhaiya and Vasudha Di who have always been there with us and helped us grow on this path. They too are our Gurus....A sweet little guru story in the next post...till then be grateful for walking on this beautiful path and remember

"BLESSED ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE A GURU IN THEIR LIVES......."

Discipline

In sanskrit "di" means intellect and "Ksha" means the horizon or the end. Diksha means going to the end of the intellect-transcending the intellect

Education is called shiksha , the horizon of discipline-total discipline. Discipline is needed for education. Diksha is needed for meditation

A teacher provides shiksha.A GURU provides diksha.A GURU takes you beyond the intellect to the realm of the being. It is a journey from head to heart.

Blossoming beyond the intellect is diksha. If you do not go beyond the intellect you will not smile you will not laugh. Once diksha happens you are blissful and contented.

Totality of discipline is shiksha. Totality of intelligence is diksha.

Couldn’t resist putting up this beautiful knowledge here. It is actually a page from Celebrating Silence. Words, have always failed me when I have tried to describe what it is, or how is it to have a guru in my life but when I read it here on this page a GURU takes you beyond intellect to the realm of the being (what I experienced in my course) I knew more than distinctly what my calling is….

JAB WE MET

...................NOPE..................

This is not about the sahid and kareena's hit movie.......Its about when i met a real life hero"His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar"...This was the first time when i met "GOD"...Normally my mornings start with my mum standing on my head and shouting at the top of her voice to wake me up(But all in vain....hehe)..That morning something different happened...My mum was dumbstruck when i was already up before her...!!!! She caught me and checked me if i was having fever...And i plainly smiled and said yes Ma its the "GURUJI" fever that i have got...Mums who are as usual smarter than their kids, she replied like you have an ashram in Banglore why dont you ask Him to make an ashram in Mumbai too....Met my fellow friends at the station and then we started off towards the airport...Each of us had a rose for our beloved GURUJI...Now where was He landing was the query in front of us...Some said he was coming from Orissa some from Bhubneshwar and some Delhi...Well wasnt confusing at all, which terminal to go to, to recieve Him coz that place was already flooded with atleast 300 people..After an anxious wait with baited breath, we got to know that He was going to leave in His car from the other side...The entire sea of devotees ran towards the 2nd exit..There, i saw Him seated in the car and coming towards us...Struggling through the enormous crowd, i managed to reach HIM....This was when i saw GOD...I was stupefied ,a cold shudder ran through me...I looked into His eyes and HE looked into mine and we looked into each other's.....He stretched out His hand and instead of giving the rose i held His hand...That divine touch was absolutely awesome....i felt as if i was born again, full of purity, love was brimming in me.... Actually words can not describe how i felt...He was then headed for Mahim.....Like how PAPPARAZI followed Anjelina Jolie on her first trip to India...I followed Him too....After relaxing for some time and having His lunch He came to meet us...we were seated in rows facing each other and He walked amongst us, giving us blessings with a garland of mogra...." ब्लेसिंग देने का नया स्टाइल है"was what He said.....Someone asked Him why do we love you so much GURUJI??? He replied "I HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THAT"....Its truly said a Guru is a torch bearer in every sense...Be it knowledge or humour....It was then time for Him to leave for Mumbai University where He was lecturing the youth ...before that he asked us "अच्छा बताओ कितने बजे है??"....Needless to mention, i followed him there too....There were many important personalities present there to address the youth...But the hilight of the event was GURUJI talking to the youth....A group of volunteers had made a
YES+ hat for HIM.....His response to that " मुंबई मैं जभी भी आता हूँ तो टोपी पहना देते हो "A day i would never forget till eternity
